HAJI KAMALUDIN BIN HAJI BUNGSU
PERMANENT SECRETARY (MANPOWER & SHENA)
Haji Kamaludin bin Haji Bungsu was appointed
to the post of Permanent Secretary (Manpower and Safety, Health and Environment
National Authority, SHENA) at the Prime Minister’s Office on the 21st September 2017 after serving 29 years in the
oil and gas industry. Prior to his appointment as Permanent Secretary, he
was the Deputy Managing Director/Human Resources Director at the Brunei
Shell Petroleum (BSP) since 2012. Haji Kamaludin was on an international
assignment with Shell Exploration and Production, UK from 1995-1998.
He graduated with a Bachelor of
Engineering (Hons) in Mining and Petroleum Engineering from the University of
Strathclyde, Scotland, United Kingdom and joined Brunei Shell Petroleum in
1988. In 1999, he was awarded a Master’s Degree
in Business Administration (MBA) from Herriot-Watt University, Scotland.
He was awarded with 3
tate honorary medals
namely Meritorious Service Medal (P.I.K.B-Pingat Indah kerja
Baik) in 2006; The Most Honourable Order of Setia Negara Brunei
(P.S.B. – Darjah Setia Negara Brunei Yang Amat Bahagia Darjah Keempat) in
2009 and the Most Honourable Order of Seri Paduka Mahkota Brunei (S.M.B),
3rd Class in 2014. Awang Haji Kamaludin is also a recipient of SPE Asia
Pacific Regional Service Award in 2002.
married and blessed with 3 sons and a daughter.
