National Standard Centre (including Weight and Measure)

National Standard Centre was established on 21st June 2008 under the then Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources (MIPR) as Facilitator and Authority in Standards and Conformance Activity in Brunei Darussalam. The Centre is responsible in assisting SMEs and local entrepreneur in developing their product in alignment with the national and international standards. The Centre was incorporate under the purview of the then Energy and Industry Department in 2016. In 2017, Weight and Measures Unit that aims to provide services for all weighing and measuring equipment use for trade purposes was incorporated as a part National Standard Centre’s portfolio.
